Good afternoon, faithful followers! We decided that this week, we’ll be giving all of you a little bit of history about DDWerks, Inc.

For the first two years, the company was based in The City of Commerce until it quickly outgrew its warehouse. DDWerks then moved to a location on Telegraph Road in Santa Fe Springs, California. Its time on Telegraph proved to be one of expansion, and after six years, moved to a location not far away at 9122 Norwalk Boulevard, Santa Fe Springs, California. This facility holds a warehouse big enough to create any sort of print that you, the customer, needs!

Since the establishment of DDWerks, Inc., DDWerks has extended its printing capabilities by adding branch companies to fill every printing need a customer could imagine. Promotional Products!

You walk away from a company’s booth at an informational event or a trade show with a free pen. After clicking it open and testing it out by writing your name, you realize it writes better than most of the pens you use on a daily basis. You inspect the pen more closely in order to figure out where it came from, only to discover a company’s name printed on the side. You instantly think, “Wow, this company gives away cool pens. I need to remember that. They must be pretty cool, too.”

Want to be that cool company? We can help you! Luckily, pens aren’t the only thing that DDWerks can do to leave an impression on your current customers and potential clients. Banners

Two weeks ago, we launched our new blog, “Printing, Etc.” Hopefully, you’ve all had a chance to read it by now. If not, you can check out the two entries below this one!

As mentioned before, the purpose of this blog is to keep you, the customers, informed  about the services that DDWerks has to offer.

Remember the last time you saw a “Welcome!” banner hanging up across a walkway when you arrived at a conference? A congratulatory one for a family friend’s child’s college graduation? Or one strung across a road advertising an art festival in your city? These signs, whether big, small, stretched across a street, or hung on a wall in a lobby, advertise more than just the details of an event. They advertise the quality and importance of the event along with the dedication of the people who put it on. Without knowing much, people make associations in their mind between what they already know and the new information that is presented to them. So, why not let us help you help your future clients make those great associations!

That being said, it’ll be helpful for you to know what creating and purchasing a banner looks like with DDWerks. We offer a variety of options to make your experience a great one. We print mainly on vinyl. Vinyl banner printing comes in full color on one side with two different stocks to choose from, 13oz. gloss vinyl and 13oz. matte vinyl. This full color option gives you a ton of freedom with your banner’s design. As well, the gloss and matte vinyl stocks are available in many popular sizes. The minimum size is two feet high by two feet wide and a maximum of sixteen feet high and one hundred and fifty feet wide. That’s just in one piece. Of course, we can always do bigger. The turnaround time for is two to four days, which means your banner will be completed and in your hands quickly! This is especially useful if you’re crunched for time.

In addition to printing the banners, we have a variety of finishing options. These options include grommets, hemmed edges, and pole pockets. For those of you who don’t know, grommets are a convenient method for attaching the banner at regular points. Grommets are unique because they distribute the banner’s weight efficiently. Hemmed edges are typically used to reinforce the sides of the vinyl banners. This keeps them from stretching and helps preserve their shape. The last option is to add in pole pockets. Pole pockets allow for rigid poles to be inserted along the edges of the banner. This option allows for more of an even distribution of the banner’s weight to keep it from sagging.

You can check out our photo gallery that includes numerous banners that we’ve printed in the past, as well as see pictures of our different finishing options to see what will work best for you!

So, let’s advertise together! Give us a call and we’ll make your vision come to life.

A Note to my Hometown, Moore, Oklahoma

I’m sure you’ve heard by now, but just in case you haven’t, this week, a tornado tore across Oklahoma, completely devastating a town called Moore.

As some of you may know, I grew up in Moore, Oklahoma. I lived there throughout my entire childhood.  As the news continues its coverage, I repeatedly see the streets I used to ride my bike and spend time with my friends on, completely wiped out. I’ve been pointing out to my family how close to the wreckage my parents used to live. In fact, the home that my parents used to live in was leveled completely. I’ve been seeing the Facebook posts of people trying to keep their loved ones informed about their whereabouts and their safety. More importantly, I’ve been trying to make sure that my friends and family are safe. Some of them are still missing.

Yesterday, the death toll was estimated to be at least 51, with the possibility of 90 when all was said and done. Thankfully, that number has dropped significantly. The official death toll as of this afternoon has been tallied to 24, according to NPR, with at least 9 being children. Even still, hundreds of families have lost absolutely everything, with their homes and livelihoods being completely wiped out by this tornado, leaving nothing but devastation in its wake.

All that being said, our company wants nothing more than for you, our supporters and clients, to do their best to rally behind the victims of this Oklahoma tornado in any way that you can. There are a variety of disaster relief funds that you can contribute to, should you so choose, a few of which are listed on USA Today’s website, including the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, Operation USA, Save the Children, and a number of others.

You can donate to whatever organization you desire, our hope would just be that you’ll consider supporting.

I would like to thank you all personally for your support during this time to not only me, but to the victims of the tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. Any contribution will help and will mean the world to us, but especially them. If you have the capacity to donate, DDWerks  and Redshirtprinting.com would love for you to do so.

To all my friends and family in Oklahoma: consider my prayers, love, and support blanketed over you in this time.

The First Impression

We decided to kick off this blog to commemorate our 10th anniversary! In 2003, DDWerks, Inc., opened and has been printing for happy customers ever since. Whether you need a banner, a vehicle wrap, or business cards, DDWerks, Inc. has you covered.

Before we talk about us and what we can do for you, an important question to consider is: “Why is a printing company so important?” Well, good printing is not just important, it’s critical. A good printing company produces the work that has the power to make or break your first impression on a client. The quality of a handout we receive at a conference, a business card we exchange at a networking event, or even just a sign that greets you upon entering a building...all of these things affect our impressions of those who we interact with. First impressions are critical, so, when that handout reflects hard work and effort, when that business card sticks out in the stack of business cards we picked up at the event, and when that sign is flashy and professional, we remember it.

It’s essential to keep in mind that we print to advertise, to inform people of something. Whether it is a banner with our child’s team name printed on it, a car wrap that promotes our business with its logo and a phone number, the apparel our employees wear when they’re out in the field with customers, personalized business cards, or a canvas print to decorate our corporation’s lobby, everything that we print indicates something to the audience we intend to reach. That being said, the printing world can be an overwhelming one. So much of the impression you leave on your audience is dictated by the response they have to your print. Where to begin? Well, DDWerks, Inc. exists to make that impression an amazing and lasting one.

Overall, we want to make your experience as simple as possible while making your audience’s experience an amazing one, too.

So, for those of you who don’t know us, we’re DDWerks, Inc., and we exist to serve you. Our main goal is to provide you with all of the printing services that you need. We pride ourselves in our ability to make our clients happy with every transaction and to make those good impressions where they count.

We hope to work with you soon! Until then, visit our website, redshirtprinting.com and place your first order!
